FMCSA has granted a 90-day waiver in the implementation of ELDs (electronic logging device) for the transportation of agricultural commodities which includes livestock such as horses.  The waiver was given in response to a waiver request by the National Pork Producers Council on behalf of eight other livestock transporters.  The new ELD implementation deadline is March 18, 2018.  To read the full text of the granted waiver, please follow this link: https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/hours-service/elds/limited-90-day-waiver-transportation-agricultural-commodities.
